Great minds think alike and when you plant gold seeds, gold things grow. Introducing Silvia, a creative collaboration between three mountain bikers from Kamloops B.C. Karl Heldt, Matt Miles and Dylan Sherrard aren’t by any means strange names to the mountain bike world. Our photos, videos, words and riding are all synonymous with Kamloops riding. Each of us has long been known on the underground scene of British Columbia for our diverse talents and as amateurs on the up and come. And getting to this point has come naturally. Riding bikes, playing with cameras and sharing our stories and projects with others has always been the trade. With fun as the main motivational factor we have been successful in reaching our goals in our respective disciplines, chasing our dreams and bringing them to life.
We’ve always wanted to take things to the next level. Bring our work and our riding to a bigger audience. Show more people why we do what we do, and how much fun we have doing it. We just never really knew exactly how we wanted to do it. There have always been a lot of chances and opportunities for us but until now, nothing ever felt quite right or as natural as the steps we had taken in the past. Each of us have a strong set of skills, but feel like something small is missing. Finally, we have found in each other the small missing pieces and the next natural step. Working together as one we will be producing more content, spreading it like wildfire and pushing things to the next level.
Inside this introduction post you are witness to the first of our collaborative efforts, a teaser of much to come. Throughout the season you can expect a storm of media flowing from the Silvia office, including behind the scenes photos and words, project collaborations with Sun Peaks Resort and a full length film, set for release in September. This is only the beginning and much like our favorite whiskeys and wines, things will grow greater in time. Keep your eyes peeled and tell your friends.
